Sola P.I.K.N. Bhukan received information that some people were gambling in public near a lake near Kripa Bungalows near Chandlodia railway station Garnala. Acting on a tip-off, the police arrested seven persons namely Piyush Patel (Ghatlodia), Dhaval Patel (Vande Mataram Road), Rakesh Patel (KK Nagar), Gautam Patel (KK Nagar), Jayesh Patel (Gota), Alpesh Patel (Ranip) and Mehul Patel (Chandlodia). Police have seized cash, mobile phones and ganji cards worth Rs 73,900 from the spot. Police have registered a case of public gambling against all the accused and arrested them. Police have started further investigation into how long these men had been gambling here and who else was involved with them.
