A shocking case of fraud has come to light in Vadodara. In which Gathia hired a Thar car and got his new engine out. Instead, he fitted the faulty engine of his Thar car and returned it. Akash Bhagat, who lives in Vadodara and rents a car for self-drive, had rented his Thar worth Rs 15 lakh to Krishna Pandey from July 14 to 17 through his friend Mehul Parmar. When Akash Bhagat got his Thar back on July 17, his engine was noisy and was not running at a speed of more than 40 knots. The man who came to return the car reported a urea problem. The shocking revelation came when Akash Bhagat sent his Thar to the garage as the problem was not resolved. It was revealed that Akash Bhagat's Thar had been replaced with the engine of another old Thar. Comparing the engine number with the RC book also did not match. When Akash Bhagat called Krishna Pandey to get information about the matter, he stopped answering the call. A GPS location check revealed that he had gone to a garage The complainant reached the garage on the basis of GPS location and questioned the operator and confessed that Sunny Singh had brought a Thar and asked him to change the engine of his old Thar which was already lying here. He was paid Rs 15,000 to replace the engine. The complainant said, "It was as if the heart was taken out of a living man's body." According to experts, changing the engine is a serious crime. According to experts, the chassis number and engine number are registered on the RC book of any vehicle. Changing the engine changes the legal identity of the vehicle. As per RTO rules, changing engines without permission is a serious offence. In such a case, if the vehicle is involved in an accident or theft, then the insurance claim can also be rejected due to the engine number not matching. Those who rent a car for self-drive should install on-board diagnostic tracking in addition to installing GPS in the car. If the spare parts of the car are tampered with by this device, the notification comes.
