Gujarat Police has made tight arrangements to maintain the security and law and order of the players across the state during Navratri. Police, Home Guard and TRB personnel will be deployed at more than 22,000 garba venues in the state. A three-tier security arrangement has been prepared. State police chief Gyanendra Singh Malik has instructed all district police chiefs and police commissioners to be alert and increase patrolling. Arrangements have been made at 364 party plots and 16,527 street garba venues.
Police will be deployed at various places across the state, including 364 party plots, 2,727 public garba venues and 16,527 street garba venues. The police will be patrolling sensitive areas, congested roads, shopping zones and garba venues continuously. Security arrangements have been prioritised so that lakhs of players can roam around the garba without fear during Navratri. 'She-Team' on molesters
Special arrangements have been made for the safety of women and girls during the garba. Women police will be deployed in plain clothes and uniforms. Apart from this, the 'She-Team' of women policemen in traditional dress will keep a constant watch in the Garba ground. Legal action will be taken on the spot against the elements who harass her, behave indecently or harass young girls. Action will be taken if you spread rumors on social media
The cyber crime police will also be active to prevent attempts to spread religious hatred on social media during Navratri. Those who make objectionable remarks against deities, obscene content or viral videos and audios that hurt religious sentiments will be monitored. Action will be taken under the applicable law, including the IT Act, against those who try to disturb social peace by spreading rumours. Call 112 in case of emergency
Gujarat Police has appealed to the citizens to immediately contact the local police control room or emergency helpline number 112 in case of any suspicious movement or emergency. The police administration will be on constant vigil to maintain law and order and public safety during Navratri.
