Woman forced to have sex with woman: Threatening to tell her husband if she breaks up love affair, lover pressures mother of 5-year-old girl working in hospital to continue relationship

A case has come to light in Vadodara city where a married woman who wanted to break off a love affair was allegedly blackmailed and harassed. The entire incident came to light when the woman, who works in a hospital and is the mother of a five-year-old girl, took the help of the Abhayam 181 team. The youth used to threaten the woman's husband to inform the relationship between the two. He used to harass her at the workplace and forced her to continue the relationship. When the young man was not ready to accept the proposal, both the parties were finally taken to the police station and a petition was obtained. In Vadodara, a married woman allegedly faced threats and harassment by the youth when she expressed her desire to end the love affair. The woman sought the help of the Abhayam 181 women's helpline with representations ranging from threatening to inform her husband about her personal relationships to harassing her at the workplace. When Abhayam's team reached the address mentioned, the woman narrated her ordeal. According to the woman, she is married and has a five-year-old daughter. She works in a hospital. During this time, she was introduced to a friend's boyfriend's friend. After which a love affair was formed between the two. She also told the team that she had been in a relationship with the young man for the last three months. However, now that she did not want to continue the relationship with the young man, the woman started maintaining distance. But it is alleged that the young man was not ready to accept the end of the relationship. The young man used to threaten her husband to reveal the personal things between the two. Not only this, he also alleged that he was harassing her at the workplace in the hospital. The woman also made a serious allegation against the youth of forcibly having sex with him twice. The youth was not ready to leave her and was pressuring her to continue the conversation with her until she found another girlfriend. The woman also told Abhayam's team that the youth was threatening to kill her and harassing her by demanding money. In view of the situation, Abhayam's team made both the parties sit face to face and counselled. The youth was persuaded not to blackmail the woman, stop harassing her and delete the photos and chats of the woman on his mobile. He also asked her not to force her to continue the relationship if she did not want to. However, the woman expressed her willingness to file a police complaint after it was alleged that the man was not ready to accept the persuasion and demanded money. Eventually, Abhayam's team took both the parties to the nearest police station and took action to get the woman's application.
