Junagadh Girnar Lili Parikrama: The saints and the administrative administration have started preparations for the world-famous Girnar Lili Parikrama to be held at Junagadh from November 20 to 24. While the parikrama was cancelled due to heavy rains last year, the system is gearing up to make this religious event a success this year with water scarcity and strict safety rules
Junagadh administration and sadhus and saints have jointly inspected the route and reviewed the arrangements to make this parikrama a success in the Girnar forest of Junagadh. The parikrama had to be cancelled due to heavy rains and heavy rains in 2025, but this year due to lack of rainfall and failure of water borewells, drinking water is becoming a major challenge for the parikrama. Keeping this serious matter in mind, the administration is emphasizing on alternative arrangements. Apart from this, in order to preserve the environment in the forest and prevent pollution, the sadhus and saints have strongly appealed not to bring plastic with them. There is a possibility of fire due to dry leaves in the forest area, so special care has been advised to be taken while lighting the dung and stoves. Special attention has also been given to strictly adhere to the orders of the High Court and the rules of the Forest Department and to avoid bringing small children and elderly people along during the Parikrama. Satisfied with the arrangements and advance planning, the sadhus and saints have unanimously appreciated the work done by the Collector, SP and Forest Department officials. >
All the rituals will be safely performed with meticulous planning by the administration and the cooperation of the Parikramakaris during the upcoming Parikrama. Following the rules and awareness will make this Maha Abhiyan successful.
