Today, valsad district will witness an astronomical event of lunar eclipse for more than 4 hours. During this time, all the temples in the district will be closed for devotees from 12:45 pm. A lunar eclipse is an astronomical event. This phenomenon occurs when the orbits of the Earth, the Sun and the Moon fall in the same line. The moon passes through the earth's shadow. Shivji Maharaj, the manager of the Bhidbhanjan Mahadev temple, said that this complete lunar eclipse can be seen with the naked eye. He has advised people to stay at home and chant. Pregnant women have been advised to stay away from the eclipse. The eclipse will end late at night. The temples will be reopened for devotees the next morning.
