It has issued new guidelines regarding garba and dandiya events under Navratri. The VHP has said that Muslims will not be allowed to participate in Navratri events like garba and dandiya across the state. Apart from this, the Aadhaar card of the people coming to the events will be checked and it will be mandatory to apply tilak on their foreheads. It has been asked to apply tilak on the forehead to check the Aadhaar card of the visitors and confirm their Hindu identity. Garba is held in more than one lakh places during Navratri in the state. The VHP said - Rules have been made to prevent love jihad. This decision of the VHP has come at a time when RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat recently stressed on the respect of all religions and social harmony in New York. This decision of the VHP has come after a few days ago, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said at an event organized at Madison Square Garden in New York that if a Hindu thinks that there should be no place for Muslims in India, then he cannot remain a Hindu. VHP Spokesperson and Joint Secretary Sriraj Nair said, "Navratri is not just a program of dancing and singing, but a festival of worship of the Goddess. The purpose of the restrictions is not to oppose any community. The VHP considers it as a precautionary measure. He said that inspection forces of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal will be deployed in the garba pandals to enforce the rules. Public mandals 25-30,000, crowds up to 40,000 There are 25,000 to 30,000 public garba mandals in Maharashtra. There are more than 3,000 in the Mumbai metropolis. In Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai, 50 to 70 big venues hold professional events. It is attended by 10,000 to 40,000 people every day. Allegations of hiding identity in garba There have been cases of people from the Muslim community participating in the garba event during Navratri. There have also been complaints of people coming to the garba by hiding their identities. In Madhya Pradesh, many garba organisers had banned the entry of non-Hindus after the state government's appeal for an identity card verification. In Indore, some people were accused of entering the pandal by hiding their identities and were arrested by the police. Bhagwat said, "Diversity is the beauty of society. Bhagwat said, "Diversity is the law of nature, but behind it lies the truth of unity. Just as I protect my identity, I must also protect the identity of others." According to him, differences are natural in the society, but their solution can only be found through dialogue and mutual respect. In his address, Bhagwat said that all paths lead to the same goal and the dignity of every human being is equal. When asked about Bhagwat's statement, the VHP spokesperson refused to comment. He only said that the VHP also believes in social harmony and peace.
