The company has launched the Bill Payments feature in India, with the help of which users will be able to view, manage and pay many types of bills within WhatsApp. There will be no need to go to another app again and again to pay the bill. This feature is being rolled out gradually in India and will be available to Android and iOS users in the coming weeks. WhatsApp's new Bill Payments feature works on the Bharat Connect (BBPS) network. Through this, users will get access to 22,722 billers in 30 different categories. These include bills such as electricity, water, gas, FASTag, insurance, credit card and loan repayment. According to the company, this feature also expands the scope of WhatsApp's existing payment service. Earlier, facilities related to mobile recharge and other transactions were available on the app.
How to Pay Bills with WhatsApp
To make bill payment, first you have to open WhatsApp. After this, you have to tap on the rupee icon given on the home screen. Here you have to choose the bill category and biller according to your need. After this, you have to enter the necessary information related to the customer or account and confirm it. After entering the details, WhatsApp will automatically show the amount of the bill. After checking the amount and bill information, the user will be able to pay with UPI, debit card or credit card.

many bills will be managed in one place
Household Bills Summary is also provided in the new feature. Pre-paid billers can be seen in it, which will allow them to be accessed in one tap next time. Multiple accounts can also be managed under a single biller. Apart from this, popular bill categories will also be shown on the Payments Home screen, while more than 20 categories can be viewed from the See All option.
How will the feature reach users?
WhatsApp's Bill Payments feature has not yet been received by all users at once. The company is rolling it out gradually in India. In the coming weeks, it will be made available to more users on Android and iOS.
