3 killed, 4 seriously injured in road accident on Matar-Tarapur highway

Matar Tarapur road accident: A very serious and heart-wrenching road accident took place on the Matar-Tarapur highway passing through Matar taluka of Kheda district today. The tragic accident took place when a speeding Eco car rammed into a rickshaw full of passengers near Khodiyar Chowk on the road. In this accident, 3 innocent persons lost their lives on the spot while 4 others sustained serious injuries.

Eco car at full speed created havoc

the accident took place near Khodiyar Chowk when the traffic was running normally on the Matar-Tarapur road. The driver of an Eco car was driving at full speed and negligently. He suddenly lost control of the steering wheel and hit the passenger rickshaw passing by in front of him. The collision was so intense that the rickshaw literally swerved and the passengers sitting in it were thrown. 3 passengers died on the spot due to serious injuries.

Hearing the terrifying sound of the accident, nearby residents and other passersby rushed to the spot. People rescued the injured passengers trapped in the rickshaw with great difficulty. The 108 Emergency Ambulance Service and Matar police were immediately informed and the convoy rushed to the spot. All the 4 injured who were lying in a bloody condition have been rushed to Kheda Civil Hospital for further and intensive treatment. They are currently undergoing intensive treatment by doctors and their condition is said to be stable

He took stock of the situation at the accident site and then reached Kheda Civil Hospital to visit the injured. The police removed the accident affected vehicles from the road with the help of a crane and restored the traffic on the highway.

The police have taken legal action by shifting the bodies of the three deceased to the government hospital for post-mortem. Currently, the Matar police have registered a case of accident against the driver of the Eco car and have started a thorough investigation to find out the speeding of the vehicle, the negligence of the driver and the exact cause of the accident. Following this incident, a wave of great grief has turned in the entire Matar diocese.
