A 26-year-old youth from Vadaj was arrested digitally and extorted lakhs of rupees. After threatening to make the nude video viral, the gangsters introduced the youth as an officer of the Delhi Cyber Crime Branch and an official of YouTube and threatened to take police action, arrest and ruin his career. In this way, a total of Rs 49.78 lakh was transferred from the youth at different times by threatening him. The youth lodged a complaint with the Cyber Crime Branch in this regard and the police have started an investigation. The video call came from an unknown number
The young man, who works in a private company, was checking his mobile phone at his home on the night of September 3, 2026. During that time, he received a video call from an unknown number on WhatsApp. While receiving the call, a young woman was seen in a nude state in front of him. Seeing this, the young man immediately cut the call and blocked the number. He threatened to call again from another number
After some time, there was a WhatsApp call again. This time, the person in front told the youth that his nude video had been recorded and if the video was to be stopped from going viral, then the money would have to be transferred to the given bank account. The young man again cut the phone and blocked the number. In the meantime, a video was also sent from the front, which the youth deleted. Posing as a fake cyber officer showed fear of arrest
On September 27, 2026, the youth again received a WhatsApp call from an unknown number. The man identified himself as Sanjay Arora, an officer of the Delhi Cyber Crime Branch. Talking about the nude video calling, the youth panicked when the police told him that action was to be taken. The alleged police officer told the youth that he had a provision of seven years imprisonment for the offence related to nude videos and that he could be arrested with the help of Ahmedabad police. He then spoke to the YouTube official to avoid arrest and told him to get the proper process. The youth decided to give money to get rid of him
After scaring the youth, the alleged police officer made him talk to a YouTube officer named Hemant Malhotra. Hemant Malhotra said that he had received two nude videos in the name of the youth and said that he was charged Rs 71,250 to delete them. Scared of the name of the police and the YouTube officer, the young man decided to pay money to get rid of the whole matter. After that, the gangsters started extorting money from him one after the other giving different reasons. Lakhs of rupees were extorted in the name of YouTube officer
The gangsters constantly threatened the youth and threatened to make his nude video viral and ruin his career. They transferred the money to different bank accounts by threatening police action and arrest. In this way, a total of Rs 49.78 lakh was snatched from the youth. The Cyber Crime Branch registered a case and started investigation.
Even after transferring such a huge amount, the alleged police officer demanded more money. Finally, realizing that he was a victim of cyber fraud, the youth lodged a complaint with the Cyber Crime Branch. The police have launched an investigation into the entire matter on the basis of the complaint and have started an investigation to find out to which account the accused transferred the money and how many others are involved in the gang.
