Dharoi Dam: Water released from Dharoi dam triggers flood in Sabarmati, see report 

the water level of Dharoi dam in Mehsana district is continuously increasing due to the rich income of water from

uparwas. With the release of 61 thousand 250 cusecs of water, four gates of the dam are 9.25 feet and one door four feet and 52 thousand 83 cusecs of water is being released from the dam into the Sabarmati river. Ghodapur is also in a state of disrepair in the Sabarmati river due to the release of water from the dam.   The Sabarmati river passing near Vijapur in Mehsana is also flowing on the banks of the river. Vehicular movement on the Bridge of Sabarmati River on Vijapur-Himmatnagar Highway has also been stopped due to the rising water level of sabarmati river.   Water is being released into sabarmati river by opening 27 gates of Vasna barrage in Ahmedabad. The low-lying areas along the river bank have been put on alert as water is being released from the Vasna barrage.
