Due to the lack of permanent doctors in the Civil Hospital in Morbi, 7 people have died due to lack of proper treatment for silicosis. At present, there are more than 100 silicosis sufferers and it is necessary for them to get proper treatment to cure this serious disease, so the Silicosis Victims Association Morbi has submitted an application at the Collector's Office, Mamlatdar Office and Civil Hospital demanding the appointment of permanent specialist doctors to treat silicosis in Morbi Civil. Although there are more patients with serious diseases like lungs in the civil hospital, there are no specialist doctors for this disease, especially the ordinary poor class patients who cannot get treatment in expensive private hospitals are in trouble. Often, such patients die due to lack of proper treatment for lung diseases. However, since the existing 20 OPDs have only intern doctors, proper diagnosis is not possible. Despite the collector's order of free treatment, the collector's order has been openly violated by not appointing a specialist doctor. In the absence of specialist doctors, patients are in an unimaginable condition. He further added that after submitting 7 demands to the Collector on 7/1 last year, 7 members of the association died prematurely due to silicosis due to lack of specialist doctors in the six months from March to August this year.
