A businessman youth in Morbi has been duped of Rs 1.51 crore in the name of investing in USDT crypto currency. The accused contacted him through WhatsApp and lured the youth to invest. Three accused were arrested on June 6 in connection with the crime. In which one of the accused took Rs 1 lakh to give access to his bank account. The other two accused used to open such accounts and take a commission of two per cent of the amount received in it. The court granted three-day remand of the three accused. According to the information received, Naimishbhai Kanaiyalal Pandit (39), a resident of Pramukh Heights-1 of Kayaji Plot area, runs a SIMCO sales agency in Shakti Chamber on the outskirts of Samakantha. According to the complaint lodged at cyber crime police station on May 26, 2025, the accused had entered into a criminal conspiracy to communicate with the complainant youth through WhatsApp and lured him to earn money by investing in online USDT crypto currency. The accused had invested Rs 1,51,02,500 under various pretexts after instilling confidence in the youth. This amount has not been refunded till date. After he said yes, the conversation started with Watts. In which he took the complainant into confidence by giving suggestions of the profile and showing false profits on the fake website. In this way, a total of seven transactions were made in a total of nine months and a total investment of Rs 1,51,02,500 was made. Talking to Darbar, he said that preliminary investigation by the police has revealed that one of the different bank accounts in which the money was transferred in this crime belongs to Rakesh Solanki. He opened a bank account and gave it to another accused to operate it. For which he was given one lakh rupees. The accused opened an account and charged a commission of two per cent of the amount in it.
Rakesh Rathwa and Arvind Parmar had come to open a bank account with the accused Rakesh Solanki. If they opened a bank account in the name of others in this way, they would get two percent of the amount that came in the account of that bank. Police are conducting an investigation to reach out to the main accused involved in the crime.
