Gamblers caught: Raid on gambling shop in Nana Khijadia, 3 arrested, 2 absconding including Sarpanch

On the outskirts of Nana Khijadiya village in Tankara taluka, the police convoy from Tankara struck the gambling arena late at night and arrested three persons from the spot while gambling. Two men took advantage of the darkness and fled. The police arrested three persons with Rs 90,700/- in the gambling racket and took legal action. Of the two who escaped, Bipin was found to be the sarpanch of Nankhijadia village. The Tankara police received information that the leaves were sticking in the field on the border of the road connecting Gunda village from Nana Khijadia in Tankara taluka. Acting on a tip-off, Tankara police inspector Kunal Chhasia struck with a police convoy including staff Dashrath Singh Chavda late at night. Police nabbed the trio from the spot. However, two men took advantage of the darkness and managed to escape by wrapping cotton in the field. The police arrested Naresh Mansuria, Mahadev Magunia Chanchapar and Nitin Manu Panara, Daskoi, Ahmedabad and seized Rs 68,700 in cash, a total of Rs 90,700 including a mobile phone. Bipin Patel and Jayesh Prajapati are absconding. The exercise was carried out to make it handy. According to reports, one of the two absconders, Bipin Thakrasi, is the sarpanch of Nankhijadia.
