Railways' 'One Station-One Product' scheme has become a push, no beneficiaries have been found

Good luck if the stalls are open in Rajkot division!

Since outlets are allotted at a token rate, the handicraft artisans are not interested in exhibition and sales, nor is the railway system bothered

Rajkot: In a bid to boost the central government's 'Vocal for Local' vision, the Indian Railways has launched the 'One Station One Product' scheme in 2023 with the aim to provide a market for local indigenous products at every passenger bustling railway station and create additional income opportunities for the marginalized artisans. Under this scheme, attractive outlets are allotted at railway stations at token rates for display-sale of local indigenous products, but at present, the Railways' 'One Station-One Product' scheme has become a push and the beneficiaries are not found.
