Vadodara: A class IV woman employee of the Vadodara Municipal Primary Education Committee, who retired in 2013, has been begging for the last 12 years as her financial condition has worsened.
If the demand is not resolved, then there will be a threat of mass self-annihilation by jumping into sursagar.
The woman employee, Padmaben Patel, retired after serving as a kamathan bai for 30 years. But at present, they are not getting pension. (Kamathan Bai's work is to clean the school, drink water, etc.) The 570 class IV employees of the education committee have been on an indefinite strike for the last two days. Their fight has been going on since 1992.
