12 cylinders stolen from gas agency's truck in Sami: Smugglers flee with cylinders worth Rs 42,000

A total of 12 gas cylinders were stolen from a truck parked outside the warehouse of Ved Indane Gas Agency in Sami of Patan district. The unidentified thieves broke the lock of the truck and took away the cylinder weighing 14 kg. A complaint has been lodged at the Sami police station in this regard. The incident took place near the godown of Ved Indane Gas Agency on Jalalabad Road near Dharti Hotel in Sami. The complaint was lodged by the agency's manager Hitesh Kumar Nanubhai Dodiya (resident of Sonar, T. Sami). According to his complaint, 342 filled cooking gas cylinders were brought from Sanand plant in a Tata truck bearing number GJ-24-X-6201. The truck was parked outside the godown at around 9 pm. The next morning, the company's delivery man Hanuman Ram Bishnoi called the manager and informed him about the theft of the cylinder. Upon investigation at the spot, it was found that 12 filled cylinders were stolen from inside by breaking the lock of the rear of the truck and bending the iron angle. Each stolen cylinder is worth Rs 3,500, so a total of Rs 42,000 worth of cylinders was stolen. No trace of the cylinder was found despite searching the surrounding area. A case has been registered against unidentified accused at Sami police station under Section 305(c) of the Indian Citizen Security Code and BNS. The Sami police have started further investigation into the incident.
