Kuwadwa group seat has been won by Nitin Chowatia of the Radadiya group. In this seat, former minister Arvind Raiyani, who belongs to the Prashant Korat faction, has faced defeat. This result is being seen as a strong grip of the Radadiya group in the cooperative sector.
Vijay Sakhiya of the Radadiya group has also won the Madhapar group seat. Against him was Prithvi Singh alias Ghoghubha Jadeja of the Prashant Korat faction. Ghoghubha Jadeja has also faced defeat
Mahesh Asodaria of the Radadiya group has emerged as the winner in the Halanda seat. However, Mahesh Asodaria was given a mandate from the BJP in this seat. At the same time, Dhirubhai Rokade of the Korat group also announced his support for Mahesh Asodaria.
The election result was interesting as there was a tie between the two candidates in the Trumba seat. Finally, when the note was tossed, the name of Nitin Raiyani, who had the mandate of the BJP, came out and he was declared the winner.
While Babu Naseeth of the Prashant Korat faction has won the Khokhardad seat. Babu Nasith was given an official mandate from the BJP and has won the seat.
Thus, in the result of five seats of the Rajkot Lodhika Buying and Selling Union, candidates supported by the Radadiya group have won in three seats. While in two seats, candidates with BJP mandate have emerged victorious. The results have further strengthened the position of the Radadiya group in the cooperative sector of Rajkot district.
