Under this campaign, started by former Vadodara teacher and well-known writer Sanjay Bachao, more than 68,000 Rakhis will be distributed to the brave soldiers of the country on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan this year.

What started with 75 Rakhis in 2015 has grown into a banyan tree today

It all started in 2015 when Sanjay Bachhav collected only 75 rakhis on a very small scale and sent them to the jawans. In no time, this emotional initiative has taken the shape of a massive mass movement. Today India is lovingly buying Rakhis from more than 40 cities in 14 states of the country and sending them to this campaign.

Sisters living in 14 countries of the world, including America, Canada, Australia, Dubai and Germany, have also enthusiastically joined this campaign and sent rakhis to Vadodara for the unknown brothers who are protecting the country.

All these 68,000 Rakhis will be sent to the country's troops deployed in difficult terrains like Siachen, Kargil, Galwan Valley and India-China border in Arunachal Pradesh. The special thing is that along with Rakhi, sisters are also sending their names, mobile numbers and heartfelt greetings so that a direct emotional connection can be established between the jawan and the sister.
