Vadodara: An IPO is a good way to raise capital for expansion but small businesses are hesitant to come up with IPOs fearing that they will lose control, Abani Jha, co-chairman of the country's industrial and trade body Assocham (The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industries of India), said in an interaction.
A conference was organized by Baroda Management Association, Central Gujarat Chambers of Commerce and Industries and Cost Management Accountants to give information to small businesses on how to bring IPOs.
Abani Jha, who was the guest of honour, said that since 2012, the government has implemented a scheme giving an opportunity to small businesses to list their companies on the stock market.
