Cleanliness: After the fair is over, the work of the sanitation workers begins, cleaning throughout the night at the Shravani Mela in Jamnagar

The dedication of the sanitation workers of the Jamnagar Municipal Corporation to maintain cleanliness in the Shravani Lok Mela held at the Exhibition Ground of Jamnagar city is catching the eye of the people. Despite thousands of human beings flocking to the fair every day, the sanitation workers are constantly working hard to keep the fair premises completely clean so that the people who come to enjoy the fair do not have to face any kind of trouble. Due to the large number of people who gather every day in this folk fair held during the month of Sawan, a large amount of garbage including paper, plastic, food items etc. is collected. Especially after the fair is over at night and the crowd is reduced, the cleaning work is started. Every day, a team of about 30 sanitation workers under the leadership of SSI Vijaybhai Babaria cleans the entire fair ground by working tirelessly from 12 midnight to 08 am. As a result, the people who come to the fair on the next day get a very clean and tidy environment. Children, youth and families come in large numbers to enjoy rides, food and entertainment in the fair. In such a situation, it is very important to maintain cleanliness. A trader who has a stall at the fair appreciated that such excellent cleanliness has never been seen in the fair in the last 30 years. The sanitation workers toil throughout the night, which brings much relief to the traders and the public. This selfless work by sanitation workers day and night is a perfect example of their commitment and service towards cleanliness.
