A man was caught with MD drugs: Renting a taxi passing car, searching for an accused named 'Biradar' who supplied drugs from Ankleshwar

The SOG police have taken a major action on the basis of the instructions given by the Vadodara city police commissioner for a drug-free city in view of the upcoming Navratri. The police have nabbed a man with a taxi passing Swift Dzire car from the MIG flat at Ellora Park with a quantity of 18.630 grams of MD (Mephedrone) drugs. The police have seized drugs, cars, cash and mobile phones from a total of Rs. 3,67,850 rupees. On the basis of information, a raid was conducted and the accused was nabbed. While the SOG police team was on patrol, they received information that Mahesh alias Ronak Dever, a resident of Samayala village, was hiding MD drugs in his Swift Dzire car and selling them to customers around MIG Flat in Ellora Park. On the basis of this information, the police raided and detained Mahesh alias Ronak Devidas Devere and seized Rs. 18.630 grams of drugs worth Rs 55,890. He used a rented taxi car to evade the police. Preliminary interrogation by the police revealed that the accused had taken this taxi passing car from a resident of Kamalanagar three months ago. He had taken this taxi passing car at a monthly rent of Rs 15,000. He used this taxi to escape the eyes of the police and to deliver drugs to customers. It was revealed that he had brought drugs from a supplier in Ankleshwar Investigations revealed that the accused had bought the drugs from Walia Chowk in Ankleshwar three to four days ago from a person named 'Biradar' without a pass-permit and brought them to Vadodara. The Gorwa police station has registered a case under the NDPS Act and has intensified the investigation to nab the wanted supplier of Ankleshwar 'Biradar'.
