Two boats engaged in illegal light fishing in the coastal area of Gir Somnath district have been apprehended. The Somnath Marine Police carried out this action during checking in the Jaleshwar coastal area of Veraval. Police inspector M.G. Under the guidance of Vasava, the staff patrolled the boat 'Sadar Ali Ki Meherbani' with number IND-GJ-11-MO-4591 and 'Wasila-02' bearing number IND-GJ-11-MO-4884. During the investigation, both the boats were found to have 40 to 50 LED lights illegally installed. Fishing was carried out by keeping these lights on. The police brought both the boats to the Veraval Coast Guard jetty and registered a case under the Gujarat Fisheries Rules/Amendments-2020 and the Act-2003. Action has been taken against Shahidbhai Hasambhai Govalsari and Mansurbhai Abdulbhai Govalsari of Sheriyaj Bara, Mangrol.
