Vadodara: Two shooters who opened fire near Waghodia Chowk were caught from Chhattisgarh, attacked by giving betel nut in an old dispute

The incident of public firing near the junction of the highway and the dense traffic like Waghodia Chowk in Vadodara created a sensation in the entire city. Different teams of Vadodara police were working to solve the incident, which challenged law and order. With the help of technical sources and human intelligence, the police have succeeded in nabbing the two main conspirators of the case, Gurjeet Bhatti and Vikram Singh, from Chhattisgarh within a few days.

International Connections and Involvement of Headstrong Elements

According to the details revealed during the preliminary interrogation of the police, the accused Vikram Singh and the victim businessman Ashish used to live and do business together abroad (in Fiji). There was a major dispute between them over some serious financial transactions or personal matters. Vikram Singh hatched a conspiracy to attack Ashish in the wake of the controversy. Keeping an eye on Ashish's movements in Vadodara, Vikram enlisted the help of the headstrong Gurjeet Singh Bhatti for this task. Gurjeet Singh has been found to be involved in several criminal activities in the past as well. The two accused came to Vadodara and fled after targeting Ashish near Waghodia Chowk.

Police raid in Chhattisgarh even before they can find a safe house

After the shooting, the two shooters fled to Chhattisgarh via Madhya Pradesh after crossing the Gujarat border. A team of Vadodara police conducted a raid in Chhattisgarh on the basis of CCTV cameras and mobile locations and nabbed the duo with weapons. At present, the police are planning to recover the vehicles and weapons used in the crime and bring them to Vadodara for strict interrogation and remand in the direction of whether any other local lineman or helper is involved in the crime.
