The incident of serious food poisoning was reported at Modern School in Limkheda taluka of Dahod district. On the night of July 2, the health of 98 students at Girls Literacy Residential School, Mandor (Lukhadia) deteriorated. After eating curry, khichdi, roti and chana vegetables in the evening meal, the students started vomiting and panicking. All of them were shifted to nearby hospitals by 108 ambulances. The health department has deployed 10 medical teams. Eight students have been admitted to Zydus Hospital, 14 to Limkheda CHC, 14 to Piplod PHC and 62 to Dudhia CHC. After 48 hours of medical observation, the healthy students will be discharged after a check-up on July 5. The district collector has visited the school.
