A taluka level coordination meeting was held at Nakhatrana Provincial Office under the chairmanship of Provincial Officer Utkarsh Ujjwal. It was decided to hold the taluka-level celebration of Independence Day on August 15 in Todiya village. Provincial Officer Utkarsh Ujjwal directed all departments to make quick preparations and complete the arrangements on time for the celebration of this national festival. In the meeting, Abdasa MLA Pradyumnasinh Jadeja and taluka panchayat president Bhartiben Goswami expressed their displeasure over the irregularities of ST buses. The MLA said that due to the severe irregularities of ST buses in the villages of the taluka, the education of school and college going students is being spoiled. Taluka panchayat president Bharatiben Goswami added that due to the irregular Bhuj-Makda bus for the past few years, the students could not reach school on time and returned home late. Apart from this, tourists and students from Roha, Kotda, Jesarwad to Makda have to suffer a lot. The service is not being improved by the ST system despite repeated representations. The meeting was attended by Mamlatdar Rakesh Patel, Taluka Development Officer Hardik Gadhvi, DySP Bhagora, PI A.M. C.V. A special demand was made by the MLA and taluka panchayat president to extend the date for obtaining grass cards. The water supply officer was alerted to ensure that drinking water problems do not arise in the wada areas. At the same time, there was a demand for the operation of ponds, net cutting and spraying of chlorine in water tanks. Municipal president Vasantbhai Vaghela demanded an inquiry into the poor quality of work on the new building of Kasturba Gandhi Vidyalaya and summon the contractor.
