Ahmedabad: One killed in a major accident in Khanpur area, tree collapse

Ahmedabad: A major accident has taken place in Khanpur area of Ahmedabad. A huge tree had fallen here. One person was tragically killed in the accident. Two rickshaws and a two-wheeler were also badly damaged when a tree suddenly fell on the road. On being informed about the incident, the fire brigade and the administration team immediately reached the spot and carried out rescue operations and removal of trees

After the tree collapsed, there was chaos in the entire area. Traffic was disrupted as a tree fell on the road and there were scenes of traffic jams in the surrounding areas. As part of safety, the administration appealed to the people to stay away from the spot and use alternative routes

The incident has raised serious questions about the functioning of the trimming department of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. Jamalpur Youth Congress president Noman Pathan alleged that the trimming department of the AMC did not take any action despite three complaints being made for the trimming of the tree. He also claimed that the local corporator had also made a written representation but the administration did not take timely action

Noman Pathan, this fatal tragedy could have been avoided if the complaints had been acted upon in time. He termed the incident as a result of serious negligence on the part of the administration and demanded action against the officials responsible><

Municipal team completes tree removal work on war footing

On the other hand, the fire department and the municipal corporation team tried to restore the traffic by completing the tree removal work on a war footing. Further investigation into the incident is currently underway.

The day before  A huge tree fell on the pay and parking lot opposite Sardar Bagh in the Lal Darwaza area. This is the second day in a row that trees have fallen in the city. In which one person has lost his life.
