Police Constable Sagar Jhapadia, who was serving in the Rajkot Rural Police, has told the media that his voluntary resignation from the service seven months ago was not accepted. The constable alleged that farmers and small people are not getting justice in the society and they want to quit their jobs and serve the society, but instead of accepting their resignation by the administration, they are being threatened with mental torture and implicated in the case. SP files case alleging threat to lock up in lockup According to Constable Sagar Jhapadia, after resigning seven months ago, he met the district police chief (SP) in person. Later, his family members also went to meet the SP. It is alleged that instead of accepting the resignation, the SP threatened to 'tell your son to work quietly, otherwise I will file a false case against him and put him in a lockup and ruin his life'. The constable first made a written representation to the Range IG about the threats and mental torture received from the police system. After receiving no response for a month, he also lodged a written complaint with the Gujarat Police Chief (DGP) and the Human Rights Commission. The constable alleged that after these representations, he was wrongly transferred 100 km away with a sense of revenge. According to the Constitution of India, every citizen has the right to live, so I want to resign and live my life. I don't want to work, so I've resigned. Today, farmers and the poor are not getting justice, they want to leave their jobs and join you. Asked about politics, police constable Sagar Jhapadia said, "In recent times, farmers are being subjected to atrocities and injustice. Also, small people do not get justice. Seeing this situation, I want to do social service. Talking about politics, he added that he was inspired by the ideology of the Aam Aadmi Party, which fights corruption and gives voice to the issues of farmers and youth. So he wants to resign and join AAP.
