Mehsana Taluka police lodge complaint against two men for breaking glass of car and stealing Rs 50,000

Maheshbhai Madhavlal Patel, a resident of Panchot Anandpura in Mehsana taluka, is engaged in farming and schoolvan business. On August 1, 2026, at 7:30 PM, he was standing with his Alto car in front of the gate of the crematorium near Balavir Mandir. At that time, the driver of his van, Arvindji Thakor, had come with his Eeco car. Maheshbhai went with him without locking the car in the rain and hurry as he had to go with him for the transaction. On his return, the front windshield of his car was shattered with bricks. When he checked the drawer of the car, Rs 50,000 in cash was missing. Two men were released for drinking alcohol When Maheshbhai left his car, a white Eeco car with 'Ma' written on it on the front windshield was parked 100 metres away. It was occupied by Sandeepbhai Haribhai Thakor and Nikulji alias Sendhaji Vishnuji Zala. The duo had earlier worked as drivers in Maheshbhai's car, but were dismissed from their jobs four months ago due to alcohol addiction and Rs 18,000 transactions. Complaint of theft of Rs 50,000 Maheshbhai alleged that the two men had damaged the windshield of the car worth Rs 5,000 and stole Rs 50,000 from the drawer and fled. At the same time, a complaint has been lodged at Mehsana Taluka Police Station and an investigation is underway.
