First the line will be straight then it will zigzag On the morning of the Rath Yatra, a large number of devotees coming to the temple of Lord Jagannath will be lined up with barricades to streamline the crowd. There will be 4 separate lines for men and women. Earlier the line would be straight but as soon as it reached near the temple, it would turn into a zigzag type. This is how crowd management will be done There will be 5 stoppers in between the queue of devotees from the time they start to the entry. JCP Neeraj Badgujar told Divya Bhaskar that a trial run was conducted in 2024-25. It was arranged with zigzag barricading. Zigzag barricading and stoppers have been arranged this time too so that there is no push in the crowd from behind and it does not cause chaos. This barricading ranges from 350 to 400 meters. There is a stoppage of up to 80 meters each. It can attract 100 to 150 devotees at a time. So that crowd management can be done well. The police have set up some pressure points on the route of the Rath Yatra. JCP Badgujar said that for the last 2 months, the police have been preparing and making arrangements for the Rath Yatra. Keeping in mind the old experiences, the police have done new kind of experiments to manage crowds at pressure points. So that crowd management can be done well. A human chain will be formed on the premises Talking about the arrangements made for Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel coming for the Mangala Aarti ceremony, he said, "For the last 2-3 years, we have been using barricading, human chain and rope effectively. Police, RAF, SAF form a human chain in the temple premises and open the space in the temple premises. So that there is no problem in the movement of the chariot and the VVIP. Separate parking arrangements Separate arrangements have been made for the police coming for arrangements, for the VVIP and their convoys. A space has been allotted near the flower market next to the Jamalpur Bridge for parking the vehicles of visitors. Talking about the arrangements made in Saraspur, JCP Badgujar said, "There is a lot of crowd in Saraspur. We have seen that there is chaos as there are more vehicles. For the last one or two years, there is a big ground near Brickwada Circle where vehicles have been parked. At the same time, a notification is issued banning the movement of normal traffic. The police have made full security arrangements to ensure that the devotees do not face any problem. LEDs will be visible to the devotees standing in the queue This time, LED screens will be installed at a total of 3 places - waterworks, AMC workshop wall and Jamalpur crossroads so that the devotees standing outside the temple can have a darshan of God. In this regard, he said that DCP of Zone-3 Rupal Solanki has taken this new initiative so that the devotees standing in the queue can have the darshan of the Lord sitting in the temple. In view of the stampede caused by the elephant last year, he appealed to the loud DJ around the route through which the elephant passes. Do not play firecrackers, drums, drums or any other loud instruments. 8 mini control rooms to be set up 8 mini control rooms will be set up at places like Nagarkotda, Kalupur, Khadia, Dariapur. These police officers are taking special responsibility for the Rath Yatra.
