Diamond businessman freed in Mali after family pays 4 million Euros ransom

Seventy-five-year-old Dhiru Ramani was freed from Mali after nearly three months of captivity. His family reportedly paid a ransom of approximately four million euros for his safe release. Two other Indian hostages, a cook and an electrician, were also freed alongside Ramani. Ramani, who was supervising gold mining operations, is now in stable condition. He is expected to travel to the United States where his family manages their diamond business.
