A dilapidated wall collapsed due to rains in Khargate area: Residents demand immediate action from Bhavnagar Municipal Corporation

A dilapidated wall collapsed due to rains in Khargate area of Bhavnagar. Bricks and stone debris were scattered on the road in the incident, which took place behind Danapeeth, near Nanbha Street, Shukla Fali, Parvatipateshwar Mahadev Temple. Local resident Chandramouli Shukla informed about this. Due to the wall collapse, debris rushed onto the street road, damaging 1 to 2 lorries. It is not known if any animal has been buried at the moment. Due to this incident, the locals are facing a lot of difficulty in commuting. Residents have also expressed apprehension that other dilapidated walls in the vicinity will also collapse. Also, if 2 to 3 peepal trees nearby fall, there is a danger of major damage to the nearby houses. Locals have demanded the Bhavnagar Municipal Corporation to take immediate action and ensure that there is no major loss of life. There is a strong stench due to filth and garbage in the area, causing great inconvenience to passers-by and especially the devotees of Parvatipateshwar Mahadev Temple. The stench becomes more intense when it is sunny during the day, which makes it difficult to perform pujas in the temple. Locals have requested the municipal corporation to clean the place. Senior BJP functionaries Tejasbhai Joshi, Priyankbhai Trivedi, Agam Shah and Prashant Tita rushed to the spot. They have apprised the city officials of the entire situation.
