Walia taluka of Bharuch district received more than 3 inches of rain in just two hours three days ago. Due to heavy rains, many villages including Siludi were flooded with rainwater. More than 100 houses in Siludi were flooded and people had to suffer huge financial losses. The river was seen flowing as water from the ravines flowed into the village. After the rainwater receded, leaders including the MLA of Jhagadia and the president of the district panchayat visited the affected villages including Siludi . MLA Ritesh Vasava took a big decision on the spot and from his MLA grant, Rs 10,000 crore was spent to deepen the bronze of the village. Rs 5 lakh was sanctioned. He assured the villagers that all assistance under government schemes would be released soon. Rainwater flooded the homes of the people in villages including Siludi, Kondh and Wataria. More than 100 villages in Siludi village were submerged. An ordeal was also found in one of the houses. Seven people were rescued when a wall collapsed in the village. Leaders including MLAs consoled the people.
